This Privacy Policy explains how Oceanfront Dining LLC, doing business as Charm Café & Restaurant (“Charm,” “we,” “us”), located at 76 Merrimack St, Lowell, MA 01852, handles information collected through this website.

Information we collect

When you join our opening list, we collect the information you submit: your name, email address, and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number. If you apply to join our team, we also collect the role you are interested in and anything you tell us about yourself, and we use those details only to consider and respond to your application. We also record the time of your submission and the fact that it came from this website. We do not collect payment information through this site.

How we use it

• To let you know about Charm’s opening and related news by email.
• To consider and respond to team applications.
• To understand overall interest in Charm before we open.

We do not send marketing text messages. If we introduce them in the future, we will ask for your separate consent first.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use reputable service providers to operate this website and our communications, and they process your information only on our behalf and under their own security commitments. Currently these include our website hosting platform (Vercel) and Google, whose services we use to store opening-list submissions. As we approach opening we may also use email and SMS providers to send the communications you signed up for. We do not sell your personal information to any of these providers.

Advertising

We promote Charm on third-party platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and may also advertise on TikTok or Google. This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure how our ads perform and to show Charm ads to people who may be interested — for example, people who have visited this site. The Meta Pixel may collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view and the actions you take (like joining the opening list), along with device and browser information, and may use cookies or similar technologies to do so. We also use Meta’s advanced matching: when you submit a form on this site, information such as your name, email address, or phone number may be shared with Meta in hashed (scrambled) form to improve how conversions are matched to ads. Meta processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can control how Meta uses this data through your Meta ad preferences, and opt out of interest-based advertising generally at aboutads.info. Charm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms.

Cookies and analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free service provided by our hosting platform, to understand aggregate site usage — such as page views, visit counts, and which actions (like joining the opening list) are used. It does not use cookies, does not collect or store personal information, and does not track you across other websites. Separately, the Meta Pixel described in the Advertising section above may set cookies or use similar technologies for advertising measurement. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; the site works without them. If we add other analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

Retention

We keep opening-list information while it is needed to communicate with you about Charm. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it within a reasonable time, except where we must keep a record to honor your opt-out.

Security

Signup information is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access limited to the people who run Charm. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, opt out of texts by replying STOP, and ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor valid requests in accordance with those laws.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
